Faith and Service
Religion, values, compassion, concern are all essential to the Gospel message and central to the Shrine Catholic Academy experience. All students take daily Religion courses taught by certified Catechists. The seventh grade curriculum focuses on Jesus and the Sacraments. During eighth grade, students study the History of the Church and Catholic morality in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, received in ninth grade.

Students activley participate in weekly Mass in our Chapel. Not only do our students participate as readers and altar servers, but they also share their gift of musical talent with our Liturgy Music group. Academy students also participate in an annual retreat. The National Shrine Parish Confirmation Preparaton program allows many opportunities for students to express their faith in the community. All students are strongly encouraged to be faithful to their own faith tradition.
