Fine Arts
Shrine Catholic High School believes the Arts are a basic part of an individual's need for self expression and evaluation. At Shrine Catholic, young women and men are able to transform their experiences into creative statements in art, drama and music.

Our musicians earn top ratings in the State Vocal Solo and Ensemble Evaluations, Instrumental and Choral Festivals. Shrine Catholic students are consistently recognized among the top vocalists in the state at vocal festivals and competitions. Shrine Catholic's instrumentalists are also award winners and receive invitations to participate in prestigious summer programs. Our annual musicals receive rave reviews and our performance groups are constantly called upon to entertain in the community and at private functions.

Our artists have won State and National Gold and Silver Awards yearly in the Scholastic Art Awards Competitions and have been shown at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC. Shrine artists have also earned top recognition in the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Award Competitions and the Michigan Film Institute Competitions. Student portfolio preparation is on-going. The portfolios are presented by students for acceptance into our Nation's top art schools.

At Shrine Catholic, every student has the opportunity to develop his/her artistic potential. Although a large number of Shrine Catholic graduates enjoy successful careers in vocal and instrumental music, drama, graphic design, architecture, and other areas of fine arts, all of our students benefit from their involvement in the Arts
