A Pathway to Educational Excellence
Shrine Catholic High School prides itself on our strong college preparatory program and the excellent college acceptance rates our students have been able to achieve. We remain committed to our students and our families to not only maintain that standard but also to grow and improve as a secondary school at a time when college preparedness and student achievement is being examined closely. We ask our students to strive for excellence and as an institution we expect nothing less of ourselves.

The 26 credits required for graduation from Shrine Catholic High School are earned at a pace of 6 1/2 -7 credits per year, with many students electing to go beyond the minimum requirements. Students are required to take a minimum of six classes each semester.

The high school administration believes we have an obligation to provide the very best academic product that we can deliver to the families who invest significant dollars to fund their child's education. Our goal is to challenge all students to reach 28 credits in the four years that they are enrolled.

We cannot put into place expectations that cannot be achieved by some. Nor do we want a program that does not provide for the brightest in our population.

Graduation Requirements
Shrine Catholic High School seniors graduate with a minimum of 26 credit hours. Sixty percent of the Senior class earns Honor Roll recognition in their senior year, and preparation for college entrance exams is stressed. As a result, Shrine Catholic students score higher than average on SAT and ACT tests.

In addition, students are required to complete 10 hours of Christian Service yearly (40 hours total) to meet graduation requirements.
