Spiritual Development
Theology is an academic course of study. It is Shrine Catholic's belief that all young people are born into a faith culture. Shrine's theology classes help students to define that faith, commit to it, and demonstrate it in their lives. They help to create an atmosphere where students learn more about their faith in Jesus Christ and are encouraged to form a personal relationship with him.

In conjunction with theological studies, the ongoing spiritual growth of each student is a high priority. The retreat program offers a mandatory one-day retreat for freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors and an optional four-day Kairos retreat for juniors and seniors. The Kairos Retreat Program has a long history of success and is widely used throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. Through a mix of classroom experiences, liturgical opportunities and community outreach requirements, Shrine Catholic students learn to live the Gospel.
