I have a passion for kids and math! Teaching allows me to work with young people and guide them in becoming empowered, literate, engaged, creative problem-solvers. I teach mathematics because its lessons in learning fascinate me. I am motivated by students who say they “can’t” solve a math problem or they are “not good at math,” because I am then able to show them that they really can “do” math. I am rewarded by the look of insight in their eyes and their surprise at realizing they’re actually enjoying it too! I am lucky to spend my days with fabulous kids and marvelous colleagues.
